Free Orchards and Hedgerows for schools

Doncaster Schools can apply for free packs to plant an orchard or hedgerow on their grounds. The Tree Council is accepting applications from all nurseries, primary, secondary and special schools in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The packs come with free resources for teachers that are linked to the curriculum. Applications will remain open until 23 February 2021. Also coming soon teachers can set up a Young Tree Champion Club to get access to even more free resources from The Tree Council including teacher training webinars, workshop packs and more.

The Tree Council’s Branching Out Fund is also still open to assist schools and community groups proposing to undertake well-planned tree and hedge planting projects this winter (November 2020 – March 2021). There is up to £1500 funding available which will fund 100% of costs. To read more about applying for this funding visit: https://treecouncil.org.uk/take-action/grants-for-trees/
